Welcome to Archway Cottage in the picturesque village of Broadbottom on the edge of the Peak District. It provides family friendly and dog friendly accommodation.
The cottage has been loving renovated by the owners to provide a cosy living space complete with log burner, central heating and WIFI. Throughout the process preloved and upcycled items have been used to maintain the cosy feel.
Your hosts are Jill & Sean - a husband & wife team. We also live in the village so are on hand to deal with any queries you may have throughout your stay.

The garden is paved and has a BBQ built in. Please feel free to use the herbs when cooking. All that we ask is that you pick up after your furry friends.
You will be provided with fresh bed linen and towels for your stay. Should you need it there is a washing machine available for your use

THINGS TO DO
You can step outside the door and go for a walk. If you fancy something more challenging then Kinder Scout is only a short drive away. We have maps available should you wish to plan a route to suit.
The Peak District is a haven for cycling enthusiasts - if hills are your thing then you are in the right place. If you prefer something more tame then there are cycle paths around the reservoirs in the area - this does not mean that you will sacrifice the views - you are surrounded by hills in all directions.
If you love to shop then Manchester is the place for you. There are stores and boutiques to suit your style no matter what. The Trafford Centre is only a short drive away and if you want bargains then Cheshire Oaks is less than an hour down the motorway.
Eating and Drinking
The Harewood Arms is an award winning pub just a short walk up the road (50 steps to be precise), with an on-site microbrewery you should find a drink to suit your palate.
Tigellae is a restaurant serving authentic artisan Italian food, serving a whole variety of original dishes Thurs -Sun. On Sunday they run a wood-fired pizza hut outside the pub - you have to try it to believe it.
Lymefield Garden Centre has an onsite farm shop and tea room serving delicious homemade food, drinks and the most amazing cakes. They have meat & veg hampers available should you wish to take advantage of this service - you could pre-order before your arrival!
There are many pubs, bars and restaurants in Glossop and Manchester so you should have no problem finding something to suit your palate. If you are after anything in particular or are just after a recommendations, do not hesitate to ask us - we will do our best to help!
Again if its nightlife you want look no further than Manchester - 30 mins away by train it is crammed to the rafters with pubs, bars and clubs to keep you dancing until the small hours. If live music is your thing then again Manchester has it in spades be it big venue or small intimate gigs.
